This week went by so fast! I can’t believe it is already over. On Monday, I traveled to the HTW (University of Applied Sciences in Berlin) to meet with the students working on the exhibition. They discussed much of their presentation and what ideas they were going to share to the actual museum exhibition team. They were even kind enough to give me an information sheet in English! Their ideas are so creative, and you can tell they have been working so hard on this exhibit. After they discussed their ideas, Elly and me talked about what we went over during our one-on-one meeting in the coffee shop – just to keep the other students up to speed. They gave feedback that was also very helpful.

Elly also found a host of German crowdfunding data collection, which I’m sure will be extremely helpful in the future.

On Tuesday, the students came to the museum and presented in front on the exhibition team. It went really well and they had even more ideas than they discussed on Monday! I wrote a ton of notes. After the presentation, the students and I skyped Henry. The meeting was really fun and the students seemed so excited to finally see and talk to Henry himself. They asked fundamental questions that really helped to flesh out the direction of the exhibit. We even finalized the five topics that will be utilized in the exhibit – which is a big step for both Henry and for the project the students are working on. Henry was hilarious, and made the atmosphere and conversation of the meeting light-hearted. Surprising for someone who had to wake up at 7 am to skype (It was that early New York Time)! After the meeting, I privately presented my information on crowdfunding to the exhibition team. At first I was nervous, but they really seemed interested in what I had to say. I felt very comfortable presenting and afterwards, the discussion about crowdfunding gave me a clearer idea of what I should focus on. After the meeting, I started working on creating an even more defined check-list on exactly what this exhibit should do and accomplish in order to create a successful crowdfunding campaign.

On Wednesday, I met with Juliane Röhner, who is head of Event Management and Marketing. She also runs all the Museum’s social media sites and networks: you could imagine how many questions I had for her. When we met, however, she basically answered all of my questions before I could ask! She seemed to know exactly what I was after. That was a relief, because it really felt she understood the direction my project and what I might need help with. Overall, this week has been quite busy with meetings and more meetings. Yet, by talking and discussing my ideas with different people, I receive feedback and advice with many different perspectives and opinions. Potential questions or problems I have missed, others have caught and addressed. It is through these discussions that my project is really coming together.
